Sarah Smith is a musician from London that has always been praised for her songwriting and vulnerability in her lyrics. Sarah has been heavily involved in the London music scene for most of her career, winning multiple Jack Richardson/Forest City London Music Awards and performing at almost every venue the city has.
Recently, Sarah paid homage to her hometown, releasing an album called “Sarah Smith and the Lovers of London” along with writing partner Noelle Frances. This album was a collaboration with 6 other London-based artists in which each song focuses on a different type of love: familial, romantic, platonic, love for a city and love of community.
In this episode we talk to Sarah about how she started in the music industry, being open and honest in her songwriting, the London Music Scene and how it’s changed over the years, the London Music Office, touring throughout Europe, the Caribbean and hosting her own Sarah Smith Cruise.
